BREAKOUT!: It's an Escape Room in a box! Work with a team to crack the codes to break into a series of locked boxes using clues and critical thinking, or take the challenge on your own. Race against others to see who can breakout first! Theme: Riddle of the Sphinx (Ancient Egypt)
BUILD A BETTER MOUSETRAP (CAR): Will your team win the Mousetrap Car Race? Construct and race a mousetrap car while learning about physics and engineering principles.
CREATIVE WRITING WORKSHOPS: Hosted by members of the Milwaukee-Ozaukee NaNoWriMo chapter. These writing workshops will use a variety of prompts to motivate your muses.
DOODLE COASTER: Fabricate a miniature roller coaster using 3D printing pens, LEGOS®, and your imagination.

GAME-BASED LEARNING: An effective multi-sensory way to learn is via game-based learning. Try out a variety of business, science, math, and writing games.

ADDED 4/14! NEW THIS YEAR! GROW YOUR KNOWLEDGE: INTRO TO HORTICULTURE Learn about traditional growing methods and hydroponic growing. Plant seeds and transplant a cutting to take home.

INTRO TO VIDEO GAME DESIGN: Explore a variety of tools that can be used to create video games and learn about career opportunities in the field.
ADDED 4/6! NEW THIS YEAR! IT'S EASY BEING GREEN: An introductory lesson on using a green screen to create fun photo 'memories' anywhere in the world!
KITCHEN WARFARE: Using simple items found at home (and science, of course) work with a team to create the best catapult and make a structure to protect an egg from a two-story fall. MAKER ARCADE: An open lab opportunity to work on creating your own video game and to play games created by others.
ME MYSELFIE AND I: Learn how to use lighting and angles to take the best selfies and photos. Bringing your camera or photo to this session is encouraged, but not required. ADDED 4/4! NEW THIS YEAR! PAPER CIRCUIT POLICE CARS: Assemble a paper circuit police car with lights that flash.
ROBOVERSITY: Robot vs robot -- which one is better? Participants in this session will be split into two teams where two bots battle it out to see which bot is best bot.
ROLLER COASTER CHALLENGE: How high can you make your roller coaster? Learn about energy and roller coaster physics as you help to build a working miniature coaster.

CAREER LOCKER: Sign up for a free Career Locker account. Learn how to utilize the system to compare colleges, take career assessments, and explore various occupational opportunities. Career Locker also has tools for budgeting, writing resumes, and creating cover letters. (Must attend session in order to acquire free account.)

MARSHMALLOW CHALLENGE (previously titled: PRIORITIES, LIMITATIONS, AND EXPECTATIONS): We have a lot of responsibilities in our lives. If you’ve ever felt crunched for time, stressed out by assignments, or overwhelmed in school, this session will address how to better manage time and prioritize necessary tasks.
REAL WORLD CREATIVE THINKING: If you've ever had writer's block or feel like you've run out of ideas, or feel like a creativity boost, this is the perfect workshop to prove that you're more creative than you think! Participate in challenges designed to stretch your creative thinking skills.

ADDED 4/14! LEADERSHIP PANEL: Student leaders on campus will talk about their involvement in student organizations and answer questions about leadership and college.
ADDED 4/4! POLICE FITNESS: Do you have what it takes to be a police officer? Test your skills at different tasks, including an obstacle course.
ADDED 4/14! STUDENT SUCCESS Q&A: Interact with a panel of successful students on campus, moderated by the instructor of our College Success Seminar. YOUR STORY MATTERS!: This informational session about free, national writing events for teens (and adults!) includes a Q&A with local NaNoWriMo municipal liaisons who can answer questions about Camp NaNo, NaNoWriMo, and the Young Writers Program, and includes a writing activity.
